What do you need to have ready?

You do not need everything figured out before you begin.

A useful minimum starting point is:

1. A problem, interest, skill, or point of view

Start with something you can contribute consistently.

Ask:

You do not necessarily need a completely original idea. You need a useful way of solving, explaining, documenting, simplifying, entertaining, or improving something for a particular audience.

2. An initial audience hypothesis

You do not need a perfectly researched customer persona.

Start with a hypothesis:

I want to help [type of person] achieve [outcome] or solve [problem] through [my skill, product, service, or perspective].

Then test that assumption.

Audience research can begin with simple methods such as conversations, surveys, comments, reviews, communities, search results, and social listening. The Creator Knowledge framework places understanding the audience before building the monetization system because knowing what people actually need reduces the risk of creating something nobody wants.
