Personalized learning and adaptive teaching with AI

CHAPTER TWO | AI IN ACTION: PRACTICAL APPLICATION

Contrary to the concerns surrounding the use of artificial intelligence in education, the technology itself does provide means for keeping students in check. The misuse of AI is unfortunately down to human nature, as with any form of technology, where cheating may be a temptation.

However, allowing students to enjoy new ways of learning as well as embracing and familiarizing themselves with a technology that seems here to stay. This is especially as the positive benefits outweigh the negative. By providing dedicated AI data models for educational use, with the aid of a chatbot, and other AI technologies, personalizing educational learning and processes can be readily streamlined and managed for dedicated and practical purposes.

Using a chatbot and data model for learning

An AI chatbot and data model have a symbiotic relationship, where each element plays a crucial role in enabling the other to function effectively.

Data models act as the knowledge base for the chatbot, storing information and patterns extracted from various sources. This data can come in different forms, like text, images, or code, and may include general information and factual data relevant to the chatbot's field.

The dialogue history is useful as it stores past conversations and interactions with users, which helps the chatbot understand user intent and personalize responses.
